This last year has been the single most difficult time of my career for anyone to die. Hallmarked by visitor restrictions, masks, physically distant and virtual caregiving, 2020-2021 has challenged our hospice teams in their abilities to find joy in caring for dying patients and families. There have also been challenges in caring for each other on the team and for ourselves. We endeavor to listen to our staff to identify how they experience Joy in caring for patients and families.
